I have been a photo enthusiast for over 40 years. So, when my daughter asked me to help her start a professional career as a photographer I was more than ready. My original interest was in family photos and nature. Soon I became interested in portraiture and wedding photography and three years ago we began At Studio 206.
The photograph at the top of the page was taken one night when we were fooling around with some new studio lighting. I stood behind a gold picture frame that Jasmine was holding and with the camera on a tripod set on a timer we took this picture. We used one main light controlled with what is referred to as barn doors and I added an effect to my face in Photoshop to make my image appear as a painting. I call the picture "Having Fun."
Although as professional photographers, we are paid for our work, I still love taking pictures just for fun, knowing good photography is enjoyed by all. My hope is that every photograph I take will delight someone.
